About Kris Peterson
I have been a practicing artist and designer since receiving a BFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1984. My career started as a freelance artist mainly Airbrushing Tshirts in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, TN. I entered the Graphic Design field in 1989 and became a design assistant at Dollywood Marketing. This eventually led to teaching design at Pellissippi State Community College and Loudon High School. I am thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ for all His grace and guidance.
The old photos you see here are of my past work I'm known for. If you grew up in Maryville back in the 80s & 90s you may have seen one of my school murals or pet portraits. I also painted 3 stage set backdrops for Dollywood Entertainment Shows.
Now that I am retired I'm enjoying art making in my home studio. I look forward to sharing my work with the public and working with those interested in a privately commissioned pet portrait which has become one of my specialties.
